Lakeside House

The Lakeside House creates a bridge between a mature grove of oak trees and the water’s edge along Lake Oswego. Simple forms and stone walls were used throughout the garden to define outdoor spaces and frame views.

Residents enter through a shaded woodland garden with filtered light that is filled with color and texture. Descending down into the car court, views begin to emerge of the lake through the transparent house, and the garden steps along the side of the residence. The garden terraces unfold down to the lake, incorporating a spa, fireplace, lawn and wood-slat patio. Other garden elements include a moss garden and a stone water wall.
