Rock Creek Middle School
Designed as a living laboratory, the Rock Creek Middle School campus provides young students with the opportunity to engage their surroundings. It features include storm water gardens, natural meadows and an interior courtyard.
Within parking areas and adjacent to the school, storm water gardens remove pollutants by filtering water through vegetation while serving as interpretive features for students learning about native plants. Outdoor gathering spaces include the entry garden and art plaza, and an interior courtyard offers a place for lunch-time gathering.
